ZaZen Studio offers a variety of meditation practices to nurture your mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.  Our group sessions consist of a maximum of ten participants and include the following classes: Meditation Essentials, Breath, Kindness, Sound, Grief, Nidra, Somatic and Shamanic Journey, Restorative Yoga and Sound Healing Therapy.

Body Scan

Mindfulness based stress reduction core practice, heighten your focus attention on the present moment with a progressive body scan, while focusing on the breath and body awareness. Exploring a full range of sensations and feelings. This meditation may alleviate stress, balance anxiety, moods swings and manage chronic pain.


Rain Meditation

Grief is the heart's natural response to loss. Associated with pain and sadness, it can often be overwhelming. This Meditation can help by acknowledging it, helping to ease pain, creating greater space to cope with loss and ultimately brings acceptance.


Healing Sound

Also known as a sound bath, in this lie down meditation  you listen up as a practitioner plays a variety of instruments and you “bathe” in the soothing sounds and vibrations. The sound frequencies then slow down brain waves to a deeply restorative state, which activates the body’s system of self-healing. It can eases anxiety and promote overall wellbeing.

The main intention is to gift yourself fully and open completely to generate feelings of genuine gratitude, cultivate self-compassion, loving acceptance and self-love. This heart centred experience explores various emotions increasing your ability to be present for yourself and others. Leave feeling joyful and self-fulfilled.

Sound is a primal practice that uses a soft repetition of a mantra or sound to establish progressively inner balance, still the busyness of the mind, and regulate the nerve system.

Known as the yoga of sleep. This laid down motionless practice meditation guides you to the hypnagogic state between wakefulness and sleeping.  You will move your awareness from bodily sensations, to awareness of the breath, emotional landscape, inner space and visualization. 


Restorative Yoga

This therapeutic practice is ideal to create deep relaxation, involves muscular relaxation in the body and or lowered emotional reactivity in the mind. The focus of awareness is on an element of the breath, a part of the body, pattern of thought or emotion. Props are used to maximize Physical comfort and progressive relaxation.

Recommended for those who already have a regular practice meditation. We can provide props to facilitate comfort. This is an unguided session, the space may be share with other participants.


Mindfulness Team Session


Forty-five minutes of daily mindfulness meditation as a team offers us a greater sense of wellbeing; Improve ability to remain task-focused; We also become better equipped to cope with daily stressors; Improve cognitive functioning; Creates awareness of mental roadblocks and build a more cohesive team environment.
